Brazilian international Frederico Rodrigues de Paula Santos a.k.a. Fred should be undergoing a medical for the Mancunian outfit on Monday. The Shakhtar Donetsk man has been linked to the vacancy for a while now.

With a price of 50 million being touted to be paid by Manchester United, Shakhtar are about to make a remarkable return on investment. Manchester City were also reported to be interested in the World Cup bound Brazilian but their bitter rivals have apparently won this one.
